GEOGRAPHY

The Republic of Moldova is a state located in the south-eastern part of Europe. It borders with Romania in the west, and Ukraine in the north, east and south. Total area – 33,846 km², estimated population – 2,998,235. Total area of graperies – 148,500 ha, total production of wines – 15 mln dal per year.

Hîncești Winery is situated in the Hîncești region, viticultural area Codru, central Moldova.

Placed right in the heart of Moldova, the winery holds an important place in the history of national wine-making.
The wine factory from Hîncești was founded by the boyar Manuc Bey in the XIX-th century.
After World War Two, the first state enterprise for processing grapes was founded here. In this way, the region maintains the secular traditions and technological secrets till this day.

The winery has two bottling lines for wines. One line for bottling sparkling wines, and another for bag-in-box packing.
